On June 5 2026, the Ghana Red Cross Society -Upper West Region, led by Acting Regional Manager Mr. Issahaque Abdul Rauf, was at the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) for the life-changing “Tree for Life and Restoration” initiative, organized by the Ghana Forestry Commission.

The Ghana Red Cross Society “official” remains a steadfast pillar in national tree-planting and environmental conservation efforts. This impactful initiative involved planting trees across the UBIDS campus to champion environmental protection, enhance biodiversity, and combat climate change.

True to our core mandate, our volunteers were also on site to provide vital First Aid services, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone gathered for the event.

Thank you to the Forestry Commission, RCC, UBIDS, Stakeholders and our volunteers for making it a green success.Together, we are rooting for a healthier, safer, and more sustainable future.
