The Ghana Red Cross Society participated in the Ghana Security and Safety Conference held at The Hive on the 24th of October, 2026. The conference brought together organizations and stakeholders to promote safety awareness, showcase innovative solutions, and encourage collaboration in security, health, and emergency preparedness.

The conference featured innovative presentations, exhibition stand visits, panel discussions and icebreaker activities. These sessions provided participants with opportunities to share ideas, explore practical safety solutions, interact with exhibitors and exchange knowledge on emerging security and safety issues.

As part of its participation, the Society mounted an exhibition stand showcasing safety and first aid materials. The team also conducted practical demonstrations on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and educated attendees on appropriate responses to cardiac emergencies, including heart attacks and First aid manuals.

The exhibition attracted interest from attendees, with participants expressing interest in joining the Ghana Red Cross Society-Greater Accra Region as volunteers.

Other organisations present included the Ghana Police Service, Soko Ariel Robotics, Med Paddy and Inspector AI. Their participation contributed to the exchange of ideas and demonstrations of innovative approaches to security and safety.

The conference provided the Ghana Red Cross Society with an opportunity to increase public awareness of first aid and emergency response, showcase its humanitarian services, and engage directly with participants. The CPR demonstrations offered practical insight into the importance of responding appropriately to medical emergencies.

The interest expressed by some attendees in volunteering was a positive outcome and presents an opportunity for the Society to strengthen its volunteer base. The event also encouraged networking and knowledge-sharing among participating organisations.
