A revitalized Volunteer Management System was rolled out by the NSD Unit, significantly improving volunteer satisfaction, performance, and retention. Past grievances and unrest were addressed through active listening and inclusive consultation.

Volunteers reported feeling more valued, which translated into greater commitment and increased participation. Notably, formerly inactive senior volunteers began re-engaging, and plans emerged to establish a Senior Citizens’ Chapter to support the Society with their knowledge, experience, and leadership.

The GRCS also adopted the IFRC Integrity Line, providing members and volunteers with a secure channel to report misconduct, corruption, or abuse confidentially and safely.
