Humanitarian Diplomacy

We are strengthening our voice and influence through proactive humanitarian diplomacy.

With strong support from the IFRC and ICRC, we work to enhance trust, visibility, and collaboration with government, partners, and the international community to act at all times to the benefit of vulnerable individuals and populations.

Our focus is to position us as a trusted humanitarian partner and advocate for communities in need. Through high-level engagements, international conferences, and regional meetings such as the Africa West Coast Group Meeting hosted in Accra, we continue to raise Ghana’s profile within the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

We are also deepening our relationships with government institutions, Parliament, traditional authorities, and development partners to advance key priorities, including the revision of our Act, stronger legal recognition of our auxiliary role, and broader cooperation on humanitarian and disaster management issues.

Our advocacy efforts promote Safer Access, youth engagement, and institutionalized coordination with ministries and agencies. By building these bridges, the we ensure that humanitarian principles guide national policies and that every partnership strengthens our collective capacity to serve.
