National Society Development
We are on a journey of renewal and transformation. Through our National Society Development (NSD) Unit, we are strengthening our systems, improving governance, and building a more transparent, accountable, and sustainable organization.
This transformation agenda focuses on good governance, integrity, inclusiveness, and long-term sustainability. By conducting institutional assessments, we identify and address key challenges such as financial stability, leadership capacity, gender balance, and communication gaps, ensuring the organization remains trusted and credible.
With support from the ICRC, IFRC, and Movement partners, we have modernized our governance structure, developed new accountability and anti-corruption policies, and revised our Constitution to reflect current realities and strengthen alignment with the global Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
The NSD unit oversees implementation of these reforms, translating findings into concrete actions that improve decision-making, coordination, and transparency.
Through these changes, we are building stronger systems, empowering our people, and restoring confidence in our role as a trusted humanitarian leader in Ghana.
